I agree, Corran. That is awesome!

Thanks Jon! Good idea jp - though a 210mm lens is a little hard to use in such a confined space :). I've still been practicing w/ the Verito, just not getting great images, yet (my fault, not the lens!).
I went all-in with this image last night and made a 20x24 print.
Three images from a damp, overcast day in the Peak District National Park back in January (click for larger). All were taken in the woods around Ladybower Reservoir, where I spent most of the day, in the area near the Yorkshire Bridge Inn.
1) Chamonix 045N-2, Nikon 300m f9@f32, 12s, Ilford Delta 100; here I'm looking down through the trees towards the lake which is reflecting the overcast sky. Patterns reminded me of a Chinese line drawing!

2) Chamonix 045N-2, Rodenstock 135mm Sironar N f5.6@f16 and 2/3, 12s, Fuji Velvia 50; Loved the moss around the trees and over the stones

3) Chamonix 045N-2, Rodenstock 135mm Sironar N f5.6@f32 and 1/3, 15s, Kodak Ektar 100, 81A filter; I loved the colour on the trees and wall

Meekyman - love the color images and I'm not a fan of color.
Corran - I like the abstraction of the splashed lens image - Try a moving screen under the enlarger or use a center mask and adjust focus slightly with a 1/2 stop burn of the edges and I bet you can mimic the soft focus lens. Try it in PS first to see if it adds any thing.
For the 2nd and 3rd images, have you tried preflashing the paper on the top highlights to bring them down a notch or burn the trees in a bit more?
Those images have so many cropping and processing variations you can have all kinds of fun.

Eric: In the prints I made a couple nights ago, I did burn the top area quite a bit. At first it's hard to tell, but once dry and compared to the paper base it's definitely been burned into a reasonable zone. Still bright, of course. I'll have to show you a print at some point. I am using matte paper right now and it's definitely tricky (more so than on glossy) to get a nice deep shadow without seemingly being too dark, or alternatively having emaciated shadows. But when it's just right...matte paper is the bomb.
