Nice tonality and a hell of a well-done pour on that colloidion shot!

Didn't want to use this film necessarily but the Grafmatic with T-Max 100 loaded completely locked up. Just glad to get this shot with something. The water was really flowing well, and I climbed down into the lower pool to get this image looking up into the cavern, with the water up to my knees. Fun times.
Yeah the rains have made all of the falls and cascades on the trail flow really well. I'm thinking about going back once more in the next day or two first thing in the morning and climbing into the cavern. I know I could get in there, it would just take some careful maneuvering and rock climbing.
The problem with shooting this is no matter how you are oriented, the rocks on either side always obscure the falling water behind. For those unfamiliar with this fall, the space between those rocks is only a couple feet tops. Moving a bit to the right makes the "space" disappear.
yeah, it's hard to get a the falls there...
Indeed - here's a wide view of the falls. I was behind that rock down in the pool in the shot above. The water has "disappeared" in this image in the lower left due to the infrared effect. This was a 3-minute exposure with IR filter on my 90mm. IR really popped the contrast and accented the moss and lichens on the rock.
