I like it too. Out of curiosity did you also try a composition placed more to the right and facing more the drill?

Thanks Luc. Yes, I did explore a couple of different options, but I chose this vantage point because I liked the patterns on the discs, and also the way the wedge shape of the field (at left) echoed the wedge shape of the equipment. I got kind of lucky with the clouds, which to my eye also vaguely repeat that form. I do wish the top of the drill (I had to do some research to discover just what this was) didn't line up with the horizon line at right, but I didn't see that when I composed it.
