Excellent, Reinhold! The light off the road along with the atmospheric light does match your title well (or should that be the other way around?)
And I like the format. I have not split my 5x7 (using a modified darkslide is how I would go about it.) I do so with 8x10 and 11x14, which when split give similar proportions to the 6x17 if I got my math correct. Perhaps I will give 2.5x7 a go one of these days.
Bryce Canyon a couple years ago. 4x5 with a 90mm Super Angulon. Should have used a little fall instead of pointing the camera down to keep the trees vertical. Did use some front tilt to alter plane of focus.
