I do however always remember making almost every image and can visualize the what the rest of the surroundings looked like, and who I was with, just not always the exact location.

Thanks, Jeffrey, Micheal and Jim. The water levels were near their highest - about twice the levels when I had been there earlier in the year with just a blackberry to take a few snaps - and there was a fine pattern of rain and drizzle that completely soaked both my equipment and me. I had to wipe everything after composing, and then wait for the condensation to clear while I shielded the lense from the water, before I could take the photograph. In truth, I wasn´t expecting anything decent to appear on the negative as I thought that condensation would ruin everything, and I had little confidence in focussing and exposure, but it looks as if the water vapour in the air has brought a soft glow to the image, which probably masks all of these errors.
