Sorry I missed this mate. Yes the whole idea of moving to 11x14 was having a bit more of an impactful image to frame. 8x10 is nice and they go well in a frame but I wanted something just a little bit larger. These definitely do the job for me and I think I've found my happy medium. Also, the aluminium seems to be a lot shinier for some reason, I'm using the same varnish and collodion but they are just seem to pop a lot more than the black glass.
