Re: Large Format Landscapes
dofmaster, thanks for bringing a whole new part of the world to my attention.
Here's two from upstate NY.

larger & on dark - Top of one of the shelters in Harriman Park. You can see the city skyline on the right of the horizon.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Taken a few years ago, I had only been at LF for about a year at this point. This is one of the images that pushed me completely off the fence re LF, shortly after I sold my DSLR that I had started out with. Painful experience in many ways, what with how quickly these things lose their value! still, no regrets this far:)
Image is of Ben Talaidh, on the Isle of Mull on the west coast of Scotland. Taken at the end of a summer day before heading to the bothy just a mile further up the river.

I wanted to come away from Yosemite with some particular photographs this summer, including this one - Nevada Fall at the peak of spring flow.

Very pretty! Looks like you made a good choice. For those of us tragically handicapped with American English, what's a 'bothy'?

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks for the kind words Mike. A bothy is a shelter in the mountain environment, usually an old dwelling or shepherds hut, for instance.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
