David really excellent. Everything points to the influence of the wind on this land.

This works well in B&W - renders the mid-day light very nicely

Not that much of a landscape, nor a shot that I consider good; nevertheless, I keep shooting, as I feel an urge to do so :)
8x10 UV sensitive paper negative @ 6 ASA, overcast sky, 300mm CZJ TESSAR @ f/22
nasty light leak is from a faulty holder I forgot to fix before going out

Hey, Nikola... just crop out the light leak. I don't normally like square images but this one would look great in square format.
Nikola,
Lovely image. As below, crop to just below the skyline.
A field of orange and red tulips at Goeree-Overflakkee, the Netherlands. It was bright and sunny when I made this photo but it was in fact very very cold.
I used a Cambo Wide with a Super-Symmar HM 120mm lens, provia 100f, Lee 1 stop hard grad.
Thanks for looking, Frank

Frank,
Beautiful! And great use of the ND filter, too.

cpercy, I like it. A long time ago I visited Dinosaur Nat. Mon. and your photo prods me to go again.
A friend of mine and I have been going on photo pilgrimage to Echo Park every four years for almost 30 years now.
It is our plan to put together a show of the vision of two photographers visiting the same place over a period of many years.
The differences in our individual visions of the place and the ways we have each grown and changed how we see over the years is interesting (at least to us).
But I digress, yes Dinosaur is a magical place to me, and I hope to have my ashes scattered to the wind there when the time comes (hopefully no time soon).
Very nice Frank. :-)

Yes indeed I saw this face too and I was thinking of a monster lokking like the one from the film eraserhead hidden in this tortured trunk...
Got to go back to make more photos with my newly bought Sinar F2 , some black and white shots of the trunk may be nice !
I should have noticed that there was a thread for the trees... sorry...
And about the greenish aspect I will ask the technician to get rid of it, I suk at photoshop and such, and I wish I could make my colour prints in my darkroom like the black and white ones...
Thanks David. Now that I have mounted my favourite 150mm on the Saber I am happy like a pig in the mud.
One more

A spot of IR at a local(-ish... 150km drive) winery:
http://www.brodie-tyrrell.org/pad/im...09/display.jpg
Toyo 45A, 150mm, f/22, IR820+R72, xtol. Not particularly keen on the composition here, mainly because the windmill (intended to be a major element!) is practically invisible.
I shoot it at EI1, Sunny-16 and (Chinese clone) R72, i.e. f/16 1s full sun. It has so much shadow detail that you could shoot it a couple stops faster but it has a big uptick in the curve that really calls for a little more exposure to bring it down to the midtones.
