Do you know the LSCR bikeway that leads to the Seymour Dam? This was shot right near the very beginning of that, near the ranger cabin.

This is great! It reminds me of my days shooting in Blackwater Canyon before it was reclaimed. It had been stripped of all the timber and deep mined (for coal). The water was the same color. Great shot!

Here are a couple of 8x10 shots taken this past spring. Both taken with a Fuji 300, the first one Astia and taken just a few miles from where I live. The second one on Velvia 50 and taken in the Factory Butte area near Hanksville, Utah. They will probably lose something in the translation because they are such "detail" shots.

I like both, but I must admit I'm partial to cracked mud images, and that one is super.

There seem to be some fog scenes in this thread so I'll post my "Fog of War" from last week at Ft. Casey. TriX 4x5 with 210 mm lens in afternoon gloom.

Right. I never go there because dogs are forbidden but it must be a nice bike to the dam.
Mind you the twin bridge was closed this winter because of a slide so we have stop using the Fisherman trail to get to the start of the LSCR and come back.
Was on lower Seymour this morning taking trees and stumps, will develop this PM.
Cheers,
Luc
