I was thinking just the opposite, it would work well as a vertical composition. But it's very nice as-is.

Lovely!

One shaft of light, then the image was gone. Looking from Lottie Point on Fidalgo Island across a narrow channel to smaller island. (TriX, 150mm Schneider, yellow #8 filter, Toyo 45G) This is from last Spring - today rain's blowing in from the West at 40 mph.
