Thanks for the very kind comments. I'm still processing film from a few days ago, and will post some more if they turn out OK. Acros is faster than I thought - I've been rating it at EI64, but I'm beginning to think its box speed of EI 100 may work better. What do others think?

I split the difference and rate it at 80. It works out so I haven't changed, but I'm sure 100 would also be fine.

Well, that's a wise choice, since apo el nikkor 300mm is prettymuch unavailable, at any price. If one came on the market I would expect it to fetch north of $10k.
