thanks!
as far as unsharp?
the first is shot with a Veritos lens.. soft focus portrait.. so it just doesn't get sharp wide open

the second. i'm not sure how much sharper you want it.. here's a 100% crop of the bark (from the original color IR shot.. the b/w posted is after contrast adjustment and b/w conversion.

OH my mistake, I assumed the first was the scanning back and the second was film... Haha :)
BTW I love the second shot :)

Nice shoot from the Pyrenees.
Incredible tones and sharpeness.
Thanks for your comments.
Best regards my friend!
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Jim, the Henry Collum path shot is stunning both for the composition and the rendering of the lens. The magenta cast adds even more to the feeling of antiquity and romanticism. Great stuff there. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Jim, I believe I commented on one of your shots above on FB, you said you had used a wollensak series II, wasn't sure what focal length it was, nice shots

Jim,
Both are most beautiful images.
Could you comment on the noticeable tint in the Henry Cowell path shot. Is that an effect from the lack of the "hot" filter ?
With a scanning back is that filter usually required / desirable ?
Thanks
