First time I backpacked with a 4x5, and realized how unfit I am.
This is Hopar Glacier, the second fastest moving glacier, moving 4-5 inches per day.

Chicago has a few great parks and gardens - this is the lagoon at Columbus Park designed by Jens Jensen

I wish I lived in the Himalayas myself and could head out to these places whenever I wanted, they are a 23 Hour drive from where I live.
The first one is from the trek down to the glacier, it was rather steep climb down.
Here is another, colloquially called the Passu Cathedrals, actual name is Tupopdan ("The sun drenched mountain" in the local language) @ 6,106 metres (20,033 ft)

My gosh Bryan - This looks like one of those locations that would be visited and photographed over and over again for a lifetime.

The second one (Passu Cathedrals) is amazing.

That came out superb, Bryan.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks John and Les!
Randy, you are right. This was my second trip. Definitely lots of opportunity here - perhaps later in the day for instance. The light here in the morning is very interesting. However I wouldn't want to go on a weekend afternoon - when I hiked out, about 11am, the parking lot was slammed full with people jockeying around trying to fit in various places and get on the trail. Probably 4-5 dozen folks passed us on the trail hiking in. We were mostly alone at 7am, with one group of folks arriving a bit after us at the falls.
