Arkasha - fantastic! The balanced tension between the upper trees...reflections of cloud/sky density shapes complimenting the upper margins of foreground reeds...the way the slightly diagonal hummock in the center falls over the darker tree reflections...how the edges of delicate ice forms just kiss the edges of the image...a delicately moody sky.
About the only thing I would change here would be to slightly (and progressively) burn down the oblong shape of what appears to be frost-covered grass, which appears at the water's upper edge on the left. Also the same for the shoreline on the right - from water's edge up to just shy of the tree-trunks - try burning this down slightly. As things are here, these two areas pull my eyes outward just a bit. And just maybe...a slight edge-burn on the very lower right of the photo.
Fantastic image and excellent suggestions from John.
Out loud in my office I said, "Oh my...."
What beautiful photos. And didn't I just read a page before you indicating you were a LF beginner?? I can only hope to get this contrast, sharpness, tones (in snow!) and quality after 5 years of shooting LF. Well done sir. Keep it up!
I got too far ahead of myself. Didn't flip through all the pages. This too is stunning. Beautiful work.
Seems like me searching for a 150mm and 210mm, now I want a 90mm. Sigh. Too many decisions. Must budget....
