Thanks a lot Nana, Rick, Preston. Nana, very interesting use of color filters, I really need to get a nice set of filters for BW.

I can't think about going out without, as least yellow, orange and red filters. Those are the most important, to me.
I use a lot more than that, however.
Besides those I mentioned before, I use yellow-green, green, polarizer, blue/yellow polarizer, gradual NDs and NDs.
I use one of the most cheap filters, Cokin Systems P and X-Pro, for lenses with large diameter. Many people say those filters are crap but I don't complain.
Thank you, Rick, Preston and Sam.
Two trees and a frozen lake.
Made at dusk at the Kampina, a Dutch nature reserve. I used a Cambo Wide with 65mm super angulon, F/32, T-max 400. The meter read 2 minutes but since the light diminished very quickly, I exposed for about 5 minutes.

Late evening, 15 minutes at f45, slapping mosquitos all the way; crazy.
Wonderful image!
Wow, Maris, that's terrific!
Maris,
It's Beautiful.

Shane,
great job with the waterfall!
Camera movements! Back tilt on the camera set the focus in a plane from just above the dramatic foreground root to half way up the background trees. The branch at the top left was too far out of the plane of focus and too close to the camera to be rendered sharp. An aperture of f64 or more likely f90 could have done it but it was too late in the day to try a one hour exposure (+ reciprocity). And the mosquitos would have ate me alive.

David,
Not totally sure, could be lettuce (thats growing about 50 yards to the left of the first photo), corn, or something else. I used to be up to date on all of this since i live right by some other crop fields but here in South Florida they grow a lot and year round.

Got up early to test the "new" Kodak 2D for field use.

Great Sky, John. It'd be interesting to see this cropped to more of a rectangle, which a fair bit off of the bottom, and maybe just a bit off of the top.

Nana, those are some fine images.
Thank you, Peter.
Nice images Nana! But, there is something about the look of your P&S images that I like even better. Other than the wide angle, I don't know what it is.
Very nice series Nana. Favorite is the one with the waves crashing into the rocks with the slightest hint of movement in the water.
Very nice Nana. The bottom one is my fav.
Very nice! thanks for posting.
I'd also like to give a collective "WOW" to all the great images posted in this thread. I've been a little busy to comment individually :-(
Cheers,
Leon

Harry, the tonality and tone fit the image very well.
Thank you, Chuck and Chris.
I like your image quite well also, Peter. You must've had a truck to climb on as its hard to get over those things.
I appreciate everyone's comments. I was lucky with the sunflower field, as there was a high point that allowed me to look down on the field.
