Thank you very much. And thank you very much for your brotherly help. During these two years I took almost no photographs. All forces, time and resources are occupied with matters related to the defense of the Motherland from the Russian Nazis. One small arms bullet costs the same as one sheet of 4x5 film.

That's a lovely shot. Simple elements but the right light and fine composition.

Lars when I was six years old (in 1961!) our family lived for the better part of six months in a town just outside of Copenhagen called Gentofte (sp?) - and one of my very favorite activities was walking across a wide boulevard to Gentofte Lake, which was circled by a nice footpath.
Many afternoons were spent there, walking and playing, and having picnic lunches consisting of those wonderful small open faced sandwiches (called something like smure-brue?) on very dense/dark bread with all kinds of interesting toppings (chopped egg, watercress, shrimp, and even very thinly sliced dark chocolate!). And going into the city, feeding the pigeons and having for lunch those very long and skinny hot dogs with their tiny buns (varma pulser?). Also loved Tivoli Gardens...and was especially thrilled to see the man with his troupe of "trained" fleas! Amazing! And I was quite proud of my ability to pronounce in Danish the phrase which translates "strawberries and cream" (ruehl gruel me-fluerva? - something like that) which was supposedly used to convince others of one's true Danish heritage!
And I wore my leder-hosen...every single day!
At any rate...it was a wonderful time and place that I will never forget!
Oh...and nice photos! I particularly like the one just above for which you'd used a yellow green filter with retro pan. Very open and airy and delicate. Just the sort of place I'd want to bring a picnic!
Lars, that's lovely.
Thank you, John, for a nice comment. Incidentally, I was also 6 years old in 1961 (but lived in Norway then). Gentofte Lake and the footpath around it is still there. "Smørrebrød" on "rugbrød" is still as popular as ever, and the Tivoli Gardens is still a major attraction, but not so much a garden anymore, but rather filled with noisy amusements. And "rødgrød med fløde" is still the ultimate language test for foreigners.
We've had a rather cold, wet and windy January and February (so far) with at times excessive amounts of snow and rain, so now I look forward to scenes like the one above with bright sunlight, beech trees sprouting bright green fresh leaves and the woodland floor filled with white anemones. That will be a treat!
Thanks John and Lars for the trip down memory lane. 6 years since I moved to the USA from Norway, and spent some of my childhood in Denmark (Copenhagen) as well, although not at the time you two did. Reminds me it's about time for a trip to the local Norwegian Seaman's Church for a taste of home :-)
Crystal Mill near Crested Butte Colorado. Shot on 4x5 E100 and scanned on Howtek HiResolve 8000. I quickly processed on tablet with PS. Really needs to be done on my main system, but still put up while we are moving in still.
Need to keep learning about scanning with the drum. There are so many ways to achieve a good result. Only scratched the surface.

This looks amazing, Steve.
Well done, especially considering you've only scratched the surface as you put it.
Looking forward to seeing how things develop! (pardon the pun)
What a remarkable scene!
Thank you

I shot these just before sunset with a B+W light red filter. This grove of trees is slowly being washed into the sea, originally I wanted to shoot at high tide but the tide wasn't as high as I have seen it before so I was forced to improvise. I was lucky enough to get bright sunshine and blue skies so I dug out the red filter and set up a few shots as sunset approached.
Marvelous, as usual, Tobias.
