mijosc, wonderful work. I love the morning alpenglow and composition. Did you have to set your camera up the night before to compose and focus? That canyon is actually the first hike my parents ever took me on, I must have been three or four years old. Anyway, really well made photograph.
Regards,
Brad
Michael, that looks better after taking some magenta out of it. nicely done on the canyon shot too!

Went canoeing in some of the wild areas of Florida. This is Turkett Falls on the Alapahoochee River:

Here is a rapids area along the Dead River:

Both taken with my Chamonix 45n1, 90mm f/6.8 Angulon, on T-Max 100, developed in Acufine.
Scan of my first somewhat successful 8x10. Carried the franken-view up to the top of one of the massive piles of dirt made when building a new subdivision. The negative got a bit scratched in development, unfortunately.

Color shot of the above. I tried an interesting Photoshop technique here. The sunlight hitting the rapids area was really intense, and as expected it blew the highlights out. I should've pulled the development a bit but I went with it. Anyway, I took the b&w version, overlaid it, and then changed the blend mode to "Linear Burn." Then I used a layer mask to basically burn in the highlight areas using the tone of the b&w image. A slight color layer to pull in some color to the highlights and it's finished. Looks fairly proper, or, what do you think?
