Nicely seen. Using the light and composition you have wonderfully presented us with the qualities of the stone wall and land they cross.
I was very impressed with the stone walls of the British Isles, and the slate slat fences in Wales on my one visit -- they made me wish I had the 5x7 instead of only the Rolleicord. I have always liked the stone walls in the western Sierra foothills of California...no comparison!

I have always felt sorry for the guy's that had to build them it must of been back breaking work.

This is part of a very slowly evolving project on some of the defences that have been built around Britain over the centuries. These "pill boxes" were built incase of invasion in WW2. Some have fallen into the sea other are being engulfed by vegetation.

Local stomping ground, one from a sunset earlier this winter. 90/6.8 Grandagon, Chamonix 045H, 2012-expired Velvia 50 developed at home. Imacon scan. Can't beat the feeling when you slap one like this down on the lightbox.
