I am very reluctant to post immages here because my scanner is so bad. All the detail in the shadows and highlites vanishes and the scanner adds a few minor light streaks plus one big one that I can either have just on the one edge or right in the middle depending on where I place the immage on the scanner bed. :(
Great photo, Scott.
Is your scanner the HP 4050?

It is the 4850 and I completly dismantled and cleaned it this morning which seems to have gotten rid of the light streaks

"Approaching Storm"
Image taken in the Kolob section of Zion this past October. The lighting was pretty unusual for about 3 minutes.

Nice Jim, brings back memories, spent a month backpacking there in 1980, saw about 3 people.

I like this a great deal. Very nice.

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Agree with Donald, nice work!

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Frank, is it a lith print, ala Tim Rudman? It has a bit of that look about it. In any case, it's very pleasing.

I don't know that model but I know a guy from brasil that gets fabulous results with a HP 4050 with medium format 6x6 negatives.
He gets results very similar to what I get from my Epson v700, wich is remarkable and make me think I'm not getting the maximum "power" from my V700...
-
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks for the comments. No, it is not a lith print. I scan the negatives and post proces them in Adobe Lightroom. When I really like the image, I have it printed on baryta paper (Hahnemuhle).

Beautifull, Donald. The small atachement is a disavantage. I love this shot.

This is one I took last month but "lost" the holder. Found and developed today. Not in the class of Nana's though.

Definately not. I feel like putting my footprints there.

I really like the minimalistic approach here.

I think it deserves a nice print, great wave action

BW works really fine here, adds a lot to the moody atmosphere.
And a recent one from me I'd like to share with you Gentlemen. Nothing fancy, a good old long exposure on the beach.
Toyo 45A, Schneider SA 90mm f8 at f16, Kodak Tmax 100, developed in Tmax RS. I think the exposure time was around 5 or 7 minutes. Shot some 35 minutes after the sunset.

I really like the tones in this and the blur works perfectly to draw your eye in.

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Shot this earlier today. I haven't shot much with my Cambo 8x10, but now that I've managed to mount my 9-stop filter on the Caltar S-II lens, I'll be shooting a lot more with the Legend :)
Metered at 4mins. Exposed at 9mins 30secs on the Delta 100. Developed with HC110 Dilution E.

Mono Lake 2010
Taken with a 1922 Korona 5x7 on Adox CHS25 and developed in WD2D+.
Contact print using Kentmere Fineprint VC FB Glossy. Applied Type 2 High Light mask with Arista Lith film on the Tuffas and slight bleaching on the mountains.
I wish I had a 5x7 enlarger! :(
Apologies for the scanner dust.

One from Zion this fall. This was at the end of October while the tram was still running. Went up the canyon on a very rainy day. Got soaked, but realized that moments like this in Zion are very fleeting as once the rain stopped, the waterfall quickly diminished to a trickle. Taken with a 5x7. Jim
