Excellent Clay. I feel like I'm there. I love those types of landscapes. High plains or whatever they are called. Almost promote a wonderful feeling and you've captured it.

SCM, that road with the railroad tracks is superb. It reminds me of an area near Pinon, NM. Northwest of Guadalupe National Park. You've captured a nice desolate yet grand feeling.
It reminds me of one of Roman Loranc's photo

It's just an idea. I do like really like this photo. You did a great job!
Right behind me here (about 50 feet away) is a two-lane highway leading to the US Magnesium Corporation's plant that is the biggest (only?) producer of magnesium in North America and was for decades the biggest single source of pollution (chlorine gas) in the country. The plant is a couple of miles away, though, and wouldn't need to be in the photo.
This photo is nearly straight west, to the east is the Great Salt Lake, and beyond that, about 50 miles away, the Wasatch Range. With the right sky, it could be spectacular, maybe sunrise after an overnight snowstorm with the clouds on their way out over the mountains.

Thank you Scott, I do love the high desert, especially when you come to the edges and all the stuff that happens in those transition areas.
