Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks Vaughn and Jonathan. I was out for the day shooting waterfalls with a few mates and between falls we came across this field and stopped the car in a real hurry... We all came home with very similar shots... I shot this on FP4+ and on velvia 50. Unfortunately my velvia shots were a bit too dark to work with (metering without CPL and shooting with CPL = disaster.) One of my mates took his shot from 5ft to the left of me, with a 300/9 nikkor on 4x5 velvia 50 and his results were nothing short of stunning

Nice composition. I can't help wondering though how the field and sky are the same uniform shade of gray?? Were you using a yellow filter with yellow grass or something?

If larger on your computer screen is what you mean...Click on the image, click on it again -- then use 'Control +" to enlarge on PC's or 'Command +' on Macs..
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Corran - i didn't filter it at all. This was facing north west in the afternoon. After we left i thought 'that would have looked better with a red or orange filter.. Next time.

Thanks Vaughn, forgot about that... But still, it pretty quick starts to fall apart because of the small filesize
