Is it BetterScanning ? It will work fine.
According to the web site: 'The useable mounting area is approximately 243 mm x 173 mm or 9.5" x 6.8".'
You make your own mask: 3x8, 5x7, 5x8, whatever.

(hoping camera doesn't fall over in the current)and then shoot :D Cheers Gary

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Only shot I got of the waves on 4x5 :(. The digital shots captured the waves better but I like this composition:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5269/...488e0c0f_o.jpg
Crown Graphic 4x5
Caltar 75mm n-II MC
Velvia 50
Now that I am on my work monitor it looks really washed out....I don't remember it looking like that at home.

Calibration is your friend ;) :D
BTW, it is a nice shot, need a tad more exposure there!

Can't calibrate the work ones unfortunately. The minor amount of editing on that shot is poor. It looks muddled and like garbage. I barely overexposed some Velvia 100 a few weeks ago and hated the results. I think more if it is in the poor scan/edit.

It looks like a scanning/processing issue to me as well, a bit of curves and color correction would go a long way.
Gooseberry SP, if I dare guess? Looks like a fun day to be out on the lake.

I don't know why it's still showing up. I uploaded a minor different version. I still prefer the digital shots. Yes! Gooseberry falls. A week and a half ago on Friday - 30+mph winds from the east. It was fun.

Cabrillo National Monument

Went to SD for a meeting and eagerly brought all my camera gear after scouring scenic locations for the past few weeks on the intenet. After consulting sunrise charts and tides, I decided to visit Cabrillo national monument on Sunday before dawn to set up. I should have consulted a map -- it's an active military base. I was just blindly following my rental cars navigation until I arrived at a manned checkpoint and gruffly turned away 'no public access until 0900, sir!'. Oops.

The Great Falls of the Clear Fork.
Taken near where I live in Fort Worth. Sad to report a bridge is under construction right here so this will be one of my last images from here before the view changes drastically.

Did you re-take these or spend an incredible amount of time cleaning the scans up? They look great!

I think it must be your browser, I can see them...try turning off your computer this, sometimes, fix it.

It took only about 2 hours to clean the hi-res scans :)
Thx for the memory, really nice of you :) BTW, it seems I just didn't clean the film holders I bought, so much less dust in new shots ;)
