Thanks for that. A Ronar is pretty handy for messy backgrounds, it draws out of focus areas much better than a plasmat.

Very useful information--"busy" backgrounds are pretty much a given in my local "temperate rainforest" here in the Southern Appalachian's.:) (Wonderful photo as well, of course.)

Grand Canyon Toroweep September 2018. Shot with Chamonix 45H-1, 90mm Schneider Super Angulon f/5.6@f/32 on Portra 160. Scanned with Epson V850 as linear raw tiff, converted with Colorperfect and processed in Photoshop. This is the sharpened version. The unsharpened version looks like it was sharpened.

A couple more from Factory Butte. Both made with an Ebony 8x10 using a Fuji 240A, I think.
