Congratulations , nice photo and brilliant execution.
I'd love to see a full size file, the compression has to diminish what we are seeing on the LF site.

Thank you, Bob.
I didn't print this one yet but, I think it will be ok in 16x20" enlargement. Finally, I bought 4 of those large lamps for my Durst 138s with condenser head. Those lamps are no more produced and I was getting really worried but, I found a guy who had 4 of those....

Thanks for the Kind words dsim and Jon.
The D76 was actually Clayton F76 developer which I'm told is equivalent to D76

Thanks David,
Death Valley is an amazing place :-) I have another 30-40 shot yet to develop from my last trip and already planning the next one in another month or so.
There are a couple of good discussions on Death Valley Travel in these recent threads:

That's great, Leon. The cloud just beginning to form over the mountain ridge really lifts the spirit. Was this taken at dawn?

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks David,
This was indeed at dawn, about 15 minutes prior to sunrise.

Dear Nana,
If and when you decide to come to Canada, and you bring your camera...
You should know that you will be going home alone. :)
Great images again. Nicely done!

Nana, once again, you make a strong case for the 47mm SA-XL. I love that exaggerated perspective, and the way you use it.

Nana,
let me add this to the conversation,
your eye for and the generation of beautiful tonality in the development/editing process are outstanding. You could use a coke bottle bottom for a lens and get outstanding prints/images.
Helps to have a beautiful location to capture!

This is a very rough scan. I took this early New Year's Eve morning. Sun was about to come over the horizon in a few minutes. It was freezing and I was so uncertain how these were going to come out. It was pretty dark so I had to use a small headlamp to be able to make the settings on the camera.

Who knows? Maybe I return with a nice 8x10 Ebony, instead!!!!! I could get used to that, to substitute my old Kodak 2D 8x10...

Thank you, Bob.
As to location, it's true, we have nice places on Portugal's shore to shoot. I think it's a "prize" we get for not having other things wich are very important to our life!:D
This place is about 6 miles from the place where I live wich has about 20 houses....

Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks everyone.
dsim - there was a 3-4 stop difference between the ocean and the sky. I used a 3-stop ND Grad to block some of the light coming from the sky. I then metered for the ocean.

Chamonix 5×8″, Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 210mm, 13×18cm, Wephota NP 15 @ EI 25, exposed as N-1 and then developed in Rodinal accordingly.
I have to say that I love winter scenes, when everything is covered with snow... the landscape suddenly looks so clean, so calm sleeping under the white duvet....

My eyes are about the same age as yours, but never seem to see things quite as clearly.
