About the wonderful tones and textures you have managed to capture in the rock - was it wet at the time ?
Personally, I find rock tones and textures comes alive when it is wet.

Well spotted Martin, the rocks were damp, it was raining on and off all day. Agreed, it definitely helps the tones.
