Re: Large Format Landscapes
Excellent. I was instantly drawn to the path. That has such a comfortable feeling. Nice photograph.

Thanks! There is a little bench down the path but it's hard to see in this size. =)

One question, do you need to get permission from the Navajo Nation to drive/hike this area?
I need to make an effort to photograph here when I'm back out that way.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks!
I never asked anything. I talked about it with Robert Langham, from this forum whom I consider a specialist from the place, as it was a concern of mine too. I'm just respectful of the location, and hope for the best :)

An alien, forbidding landscape. But very cool...

I have been fortunate to be in Zion a few times when the snows have hit. As a rule, you don't have long as the snows generally melt very quickly.
Wonderful works! Thank you.

I almost did not take the shot because I did not like the snow on "half" of the scene, but I have come to grips with it. Would love to to a scene like this with fresh snow. Timing would be everything.
I think the snow works well on the first. Sometimes it can clash with the red rock, but not in this case for me. And beautiful light and sky on the second. Sweet.

I really like the first one here. I think it would also make a real nice B&W.
