Dear John,
Your ability to transfer your soft light skill sets to a black and white image is very effective... :)
Nicely done.

Very fine images, John!
The 8x10 image is especially cool. I am pulled right along the ridge and dispersed into the image. It is good to get a feel of a place before photographing it. There is a lot to be said for the fun, and the results, of photographing an area totally new, but being able to return to a place several times can yield a different viewpoint.
Vaughn
Thanks Jim & Vaughn. I can't believe I've lived for 30 yrs. within 1/2 hr. of this spot and only now realize that there are shots to be had up there. The hurdle has been to realize that when it looks dark and dreary at my house, it could be very interesting up there. Thanks again for the reinforcement, fellas.

Thanks for viewing.

I've been shying away from the typical landscape of late, but it still rears it's head from time to time.
This was my first shot with colour in 4x5, taken last summer in wicklow, ireland. The scan isn't great but I like the muted colours.
