I've recently found a norwegian half-dome as well, in a valley. This valley also has a river. The main difference between this valley and Yosemite is the power lines and houses. I wish they were not there.
I'm sorry about the dust, but I'm too lazy to remove it from the scanner surface. It's like it's snowing dust in the scanner room.

This is really beautifuk Frederick..
I know what a PITA the powerlines could be.. round here they are really everywhere.. Almost impossible to make a "landscape" composition without them...

That's why my usual style is to embrace the presence of the powerlines as part of my subject :)
No powerlines in this one, however.

Hi, this is my first post here, I've just started the LF adventure ;-)
Here is my very first LF image (all technical details are in exif and in tags):

Hope it is good enough.

Looking east from Durdle Door towards Lulworth on an overcast misty afternoon.
Not sure why but in the process of compressing into a jpeg the image has taken on a soft and out of focus look. The "Real McCoy" is nice and sharp. Could someone shed some light on this issue? I used Save For Web in photoshop...

Another photo from my visit to Durdle Door. The door itself, from the beach.
