Re: Large Format Landscapes
This is another from Point Lobos. It is also from a negative, HP5+, exposed 4 years ago and developed yesterday in Pyrocat HD, 1:1:100 at 70 degrees for 10 minutes in a JOBO CPP2, slowest rotation.

I have a shot of a church in Vermont that looks like it's leaning like that. But I had everything leveled, based on the bubble levels on my camera. A few weeks later, I happened to be in the town where the church leans. I had to know...so I walked up to the church and put my small level on the side.
The sucker actually does lean quite a bit.

Yes, sometimes you have to trust your own methods. I'll be back there one day with my level and see, but this one almost has to be leaning as well.
This one is from a few days later in the Dolomites. Unfortunately I didn't bring Velvia on our holiday, because I was afraid it might get cooked in the car, so I had to stick with black and white. Which was a shame, because the colors of this lake are brilliant. You are not allowed to leave the path though, so a really strong composition is not really possible.

That looks like a really strong composition to me!

The earth DOES move around, particularly in hilly terrain, and probably has moved since the church was built. Ask anyone living in southern California, where I once lived. Once I drove around a bend near the coast and could see the newly-painted white centerlines ahead were very straight, but the next time I rounded that same bend not long after the stripes were undulating.

A fun shot!
I’d be tempted to return after a rain, and capture cloud reflections in the rock pools.
Hope you share more images from Stanage Edge.

That shouldn't be difficult to arrange!
