Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks Robert, I have a very poor memory when it comes to charging batteries... I'll be going back to the same area in three weeks, maybe i'll come up with something better then, i have a new LED light which is meant to have much better battery life...
This one is also Velvia 100 In the Ebony SV45ti, with a Nikkor 75mm SW. I was fairly surprised to get a sharp image considering the wind and a 30sec exposure @ F22. The spot light was at work again here but a little more subtly than in my previous post

I thing that's a special shot from Glacier Point, the light is beautiful and quite different from the more commonplace image of the Monolith. Lovely.

Hi Jim, here's another. 210mm SSXL, Fuji 160S inverted with ColorPerfect, Des Plaines River in Wadsworth, IL. A little over exuberant on the colors perhaps, but it converted to an OK (IMNHEO) B&W crop with excellent detail despite the scanning and subsequent enlargement, I think all credit to the optic rather than the operator. Superlative lens, thanks for steering me to her. Only my back ever regrets the decision.
Best (regards, not the photos),
Larry

Just fantastic. :D
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Fairy Chimneys.
Bizarre rock formations with the homes / churches of medieval Christians often found within.

Weather a little dull, lighting flat and directionless. A little difficult to get any seperation when the chimneys and background have little contrast and the same colour / tonality.
All topped off with the fact that I'm no landscape photographer but thought I'd post anyway.
I'd love to see what some of you folks could do in a place like this.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
With flat lighting and no distinct shadows, you did quite well.

Those are great, Frank. You were working on a series or something?

Love this too.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
You know how some images just seem right even though no one else seems to like it? This one always gets passed over when i show work to other people but i can just sit and stare at it.
Nikkor 90mm F4.5, Ebony SV45ti, Velvia 100, polarizer and soft ND 4 grad.
