Thanks you! I used to take a number of shots with different filters (but 8x10 Tmax was around $55 for a 25 sheet box back then) and found that a middle green did about what I wanted with the red rock; it moderately darkens the sky and darkens and separates the red and orange colors.
Nice striated landscape in Utah!
Patapsco river in Ellicott City, Maryland. At the bottom of a valley, a very flood-prone area. Wista 45, Nikkor-SW 90 f8 and Velvia 100.

10 year old dogwood tree negative. Just like in the '60s, it was hard to get high enough.

REALLY old 1974-5 8X10s from Canyon de Chelly. Spring Break. Wasn't smart enough to go to the sunlit beaches full of beer and bikinis, preferring instead to go freeze butt off in Arizona. Go figure. Trying to organize negatives recently.

I returned to the beautiful Indian Shell Mound Park on Dauphin Island, Alabama yesterday morning and was greeted by thick fog. Hurriedly shot all the film I had left in my holders from my trip and couldn't wait to develop it when I got home.
Here's one of my 4x5 images. Taken with my Mercury 4x5 3D-printed camera and 47mm XL on HP5+ dev'd in HC-110 dil. H:
