Re: Large Format Landscapes
Well, this is a landscape we are all familiar with. I shot this in El Capitan Meadow on the 26th of March after an all day snow storm. Great thing was that I did not see another person in the park for about two hours from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. The Oaks were covered and some light snow was falling, fog in the valley. It was amazing. I kept wondering "where is everyone" it was kind of surreal. This is on Efke-25 on the 8x10 and is a monochrome carbon transfer print. Images like this are very hard to control especially with all that snow in the foreground. I managed to clear almost all of the pigment and the whites are textured and clean. The image has some nice relief and tonal range. Hard to show on the web as the image looks good in the flesh. More to come from the trip.

Nicely done!!! Reminds me that southern Monterey County will be looking much the same.
Re: Large Format Landscapes
Thanks Sam. I was trying to get the little sprouting vines that signify the change of seasons, but smaller image doesn't show them too well.

I love the mood of this one. Oh, how I miss winter in Yosemite!

Hugo, I haven't even had the image for a day and I sold it already! Guess I need to print another one!
