I was so pleased to have the light take on the colors it did, but I think my front standard slipped down (not properly tightened I guess) and my framing changed after I slipped in the film holder, hence the narrow crop (the slide has a bunch of unfocused rock down below, rather than colorful sky above... d'oh!). I still like it. I took a Velvia shot as well and the color is ridiculous on that, but it was underexposed and very tough to scan.

It may not be exactly what you in-visioned but it is still a beautiful image. The color is rich without being overdone.

madmax12, stradibarrius - Thanks both for your comments. Incidentally, if you see my avatar photo, that was taken within a minute or so looking the opposite direction, so that's the light (off the clouds) that's lighting the Jeffrey Pine in my shot. I got a lot of mileage out of those few minutes of light. :)

This was taken on a 110XL at f/22 - Ebony 45SU - desaturated Velvia 50

It was a beautiful warm spring day so I spent it wandering around the open space behind my house. I always think of it as my extended backyard.
