Landers Rock near Landers, CA. Apparently a guy in the 50s started waiting for aliens to visit him here. And it could be the largest freestanding boulder in the world.

This is one instance where some indication of scale/size would be interesting. How tall is the boulder?

Yeah. I keep thinking the same thing but I don't know what I could put near it to show some scale other than a random person. Anyway if you look at the chipped part that is painted the front edge of that piece is about 8 feet tall

Every time I enter this thread, I am in awe of the amazing work. I have some scans to edit/upload from my first 4x5 landscape shots. Nothing spectacular, but happy to have my first shots actually produce an image!
Keep it up czmielek, arkasha, steveo, colorado cj, and themicahmachine. Well really everyone, but those were specific photos I enjoyed over the past few pages.
