Re: Large Format Landscapes
:) I'd leave it as is too. Yeah, you can see the shadow, but it isn't distracting and it would compromise the image more to crop it, in my opinion.
I normally don't get the opportunity to shoot Rainier with a lot of "activity" but just had the one good day last month. It was just so much fun to shoot it like that, it was really a fun change of pace. (and as intense as the weather may look, it was actually a fairly mild and pleasant day - just foggy - a perfect day on the mountain)

Thanks. These are a bit cliché so I will never use them for anything but I hate to see them languish on the hard drive. Here is a different pile of rocks.

Thanks, Corran, Tyler and Luc.
The lake is exceptionally clear when there's no wind, so I simply used an orange filter with N-1 exposure & development. It would definitely be worth thinking about using a polarising filter, perhaps together with a yellow filter, in this location. Next time, perhaps.

I find my photographs always look better after a couple of pints ;-)

Cliches become cliches for a reason, usually because they carry some acknowledged truth. I like your first photograph, cliche or no cliche. This one less so but certainly not bad.

This one is striking. It makes me want to throw on a backpack.
