Re: Cars, Boats, Trains, Planes
For years I've driven the back roads around the area that I live in East Tennessee. I carry a camera almost all the time and have found some interesting subjects. The first two trains were in the yard of an old gentleman in the neighboring county. He lived in a very modest home, almost a shack, but owned two full size locomotives and several steam tractors. he's put down track around several acres of woods and yard and occasionally would fire up his engines and take kids in the neighborhood for a ride. Good guy! He also had a water tower and a Nash metropolitan with rail wheels on it that he ran around on the rails. Unfortunately he's gone and the trains were sold.
Shot in the mid 70's with a Rollei MX-EVS2
The 3rd images was from another train I found in North carolina. The neg was severely under exposed but I printed on Agfa Brovira #6 which gave a cool image. Can't remember the camera but it was a 35mm. May have been my Nikon F with 50mm.

If you drive west from my hometown of about 2000 people, in a mile or two you'll pass this old Caterpillar snow plow. I'll have a few more, but this one is done first. Unfortunately, the owners painted it since this photo was taken, and it's not as interesting looking. This was done with 35mm Technical Pan developed in C41 developer. The photo is from the early 1990s.

That's an interesting combo I've never seen before.

It was recommended in one of the photo magazines. I bought just C41 developer, i.e. no blix, and developed the film in my Jobo. It worked fine, although some other options might've given a bit more film speed.

Here's one of a empty coal train, heading west-bound back to the mines for another load. Taken August 31, 2018, with a Nikon 70-200mm zoom lens.

This naval vessel (Chilean I believe) was a causality of a war between Chile and Argentina. It lies abandoned in a fjord north of Puerto Natales in Chile. It comes up on you fast in the narrow fjord and although I was on deck of the Navimag ferry with the camera ready I was preoccupied with the shoreline and didn't notice it until it was too late for what I had considered to be the best view and was left with this view from the stern. P67II.
