These are negative scans, I'll be printing in the darkroom them later, though both will be tricky to print!

Nice to see you’ve been out in the field…the leaf resting in the cupped root bole is a great detail, but I have to say the texture study in the second makes it my favorite—good luck with your prints!
thank you, I admit I placed the leaf there! it's from a neighbouring oak, I saw a perfect oak leaf there the last time I shot this scene on MF and came back for it with the 4x5 placing the leaf to complete the scene as before. Second image is my favourite too, the feather like forms on this chestnut are fascinating.
