The image is of Elaine Ling...she was an incredible Toronto-based photographer. She was very generous to allow me to photograph her. This image (5x7 silver gelatin contact print) is from the same area (the above was taken over behind the rocks on the upper right). She is using a Deardorff Special (4x5, Type 55, and a rented 450mm lens) making her own image across the canyon. It was especially fun seeing her results.
