Rodenstock; Unusual Serial Number
Over the past year, I have accumulated a series of used Rodenstock lenses for my Linhof system. One has a serial number that seems somewhat unusual ...
Rodenstock, Apo-Sironar-S, 1:5.6, 240mm, (w/red stripe around barrel), Copal 3, SN: 00000002
Needless to say, one would expect a larger SN: than "2".
Does anyone have any information on this?
Re: Rodenstock; Unusual Serial Number
Sounds like you may have found a pre-production lens. Sometimes these pre-production lenses have small adjusting screws around the rear barrel.
