Anyone ever had problems with Epson V700 producing blue streaks, blotches?

I'm getting something like this, when I do the preview: Attachment 208501
Scans are showing up the same way. I seem to be able to get away with a couple per session without this problem, and then this crops up about halfway through. What is going on? I've tried cleaning the two sensor windows adjacent to the scanning surface, I've tried repositioning the betterscanning tray. Nothing works. It wasn't doing this six months ago, however, I haven't moved it or done anything significant to it.

Never saw that on my V600. I use Epsonscan. Maybe you should try to uninstall and reinstall your software with the latest software downloaded from Epson site.

Make sure the cable to the top is snug. Mine comes loose after a few months.
