Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
I just put the English subtitles in the video.
It is not a review but just a presentation of the camera. The quality of the video is so-so but there are not many videos on ULF cameras so hopefully you won't be bothered too much.

I hope we get more links from you
Re: Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
I really like that bail back system !

Re: Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
WOW. Just Wow. I love the way the back works!
Re: Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
Tim: I will do my best. Subtitles take me about one hour of work for six minutes of video. Italian subs from English audio or English subs from Italian audio makes no difference time-wise. And after a couple of hours of doing that you go insane, so it's something to do a little bit at a time. BTW, I investigated (mostly) automatic ways to do it but in my case it's not worth doing it.
Fred: bail-back, bail-back, bail-back ... that's the name of the contraption ... I already updated the subtitles ... THANK YOU!
M.B., ericantonio: Thanks! I ordered it 15 years ago. Granted, I did not abuse it that much but it is still going strong.
Re: Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
For those with sharp enough eyes to have seen the vertically oriented camera back move slightly while the bail was being closed (at about 13:40 in the video), l can put you at ease by saying that Marco has verified that he'd simply forgotten to lock the rear standard.
Beautiful, breathtaking camera! ...and I do love that bail back design with that extra lever mechanism to help assure stability of back movements while being used - brilliant!

A great video. Thank you.
Re: Presentation of Lotus View Camera 14x17 (video)
What a beautiful machine. It must cost a pretty penny. It would have been nice to see the stability with all the necessary knobs and levers locked, but that would have drawn out the length of the video quite a bit; and it seems that everything is very well thought out in that respect.

Marco, you are located in Berlin. If you want you can write something about your Camera here:

There are a disscusion about the stability of the front standard
