Timothy O'Sullivan: Photos of article from 1869 article about or by O'Sullivan

I just made a post to my blog that might be of interest here. O'Sullivan's King Survey photos were published in the official report of the expedition nearly decade after they got back. However, Harpers Magazine published a fascinating article on an unnamed photographer that is on an unnamed expedition that is certainly the O'Sullivan on the King Survey. The etchings are his photos or based on his photos. I suspect he may even have been the author, though it is credited to someone else.

Photos are all on my blog + there some Ansel stuff there (a review of the Senf book plus an interesting list of mentions of Ansel in the New York Times, a work in progress).
