I have never tried Platinum POP (also know as Ziatype).

I think the Malde-Ware process is largely a printing out process.

Ziatype works beautifully. The print color varies slightly from a Pt or Pd print, but is appropriate for many of my images. The main difficulty is the humidity of the paper must be tightly controlled.

If I ever try it, it will be to print some negatives that have too much contrast for develop-out platinium/palladium (I normally those print negs in carbon). The self masking, from what I understand, could reduce my contrast if I lengthen the exposure.

Ziatype is fun I learned it with Anne Eder from Penumbra.
gives great results and you can get different colors too
