One of my more satisfying 4x5 images from my favourite part of the world. I was after this picture for almost a year, multiple trips up there when just would not get decent weather conditions for a week at the time. This was yet another wet and windy day near the end of a two week stay when I lost all hope, and then suddenly the weather started clearing from the west at the very end, so I hastily gathered my stuff and run up the hill (to the extent one can run with a Kardan in a backpack), and got there just in time. Really enjoyed printing this one, the loch needed slight burning in and it took me ages to work out how to do that.
Linhof Kardan GT, S-K Symmar 150/5.6 on Fomapan 100, developed in Fomadon Excel 1+1. Scan of a 10x8 test print on Fomabrom Variant 112, developed in Bromophen and lightly selenium toned.
^ Beautiful! Enjoyed reading the background story also.
Great!

Due to the pandemic and family responsibilities, pretty much the only place I get to photograph landscapes these days is in and around the park near our home. Last April, looking southeast from Buena Vista Park, San Francisco. Linhof Tech V, 150mm Sironar N, HP5, eco pro developer.
First 4 frames of 4x5 I've shot in probably 6 months. I love how using the view camera forces you to focus on the present, really helps to exclude all of the other stuff flying around in your head at least for a few hours, very calming.

Great shot !
I like the tree shot especially. For this shot look at a crop in pano format From above the bicycle to bottom (1600x620), it then also makes a nice wave pattern with the water. I thought the bike was a clump of roots at first glance because of all the other foliage.
