I am not sure if Adobe will listen to a bunch of film curmudgeons, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I currently use the Laser Soft plug in and I give it about a C- or D review.

Dont you mean they should improve the "Dust and Scratches" filter in Photoshop?

It's baffling that tool is still in PS 2020. It doesn't work...at all.

I always use the Spot healing Tool and can usually clean up a photo with it in 10 - 15 minutes.Less if it's really clean, more if the cat walks on the negatives before I scan them.
