Chamonix 45H-1 part to have a spare of

Owning the Chamix 45H-1 has been a real joy and sometimes frustrating. Overall, an excellent camera. Will by more Chamonix cameras hands down one of tbe best.

With that, there are some parts that you should have extras of. Small screws and such, but one part is the part used to secure the extension board stored or extended. I could give the structural analysts reason why this part fails, but the pictures show how part failed.

This allows the piece to drag on the main body of the camera. This can bind the extension plate making it difficult to extend or put back into place.

If you have this camera, I would get a couple of these parts for spare. Not a question of if, but when it will fail.

Flat one is new part. Bent one is failed one. Failed due to creep and high preload for a small part like this. Probably should be steel or Titanium.
