Expired Kodak 4-X 5224 Negative Film - speed and any good?

Hi, I got two boxes of Kodak 4-x Safety Film, so called. My research shows it's 400 speed. Long expired, from 1968. I didn't know it was high speed, or wouldn't have bought it, thinking it will be fogged. What do you think? Worth messing with it to see? What do you think 47 year old film would need to be shot at, still 400 speed?

It will be fogged around D0.35 depending on radiation - higher if at high altitude or around brick and concrete. So need to shoot 1 or 2 stops more exposure, so try ASA 100.

Thanks. But if it is 400 speed, don't you mean shoot it at 800?

This is correct.
Films loose 'Sensitivity' as they age. Thus, the need for greater Exposure.

Garrett, from 400, 1 stop more exposure is ASA 200, 2 stops is ASA 100. That old from 1968, I'd start with ASA 100.
