Source for String-Wound Filter Replacements?
I've had a "contact me when available" order into B+H for these forever so have given up on them for this...do does anyone here know how I might get my hands on a couple of string-wound, 5-micron filters for my old Leedal (9"?) units? Other types (foam filter material, etc.) seem more available, but I really trust the string-wound ones for not throwing off bit of material over time.

Kinda got...filtered out?
But seriously...thanks! I somehow thought they'd gone out of business. No product links on their site...but I will give them a call!

Also Mcmaster-Carr has several to choose from, perhaps one is the type and size you need—

Measure the size and look at a Grainger catalog (preferable to their website). Huge selection.

Emailed Leedal and they got right back to me! Cannot believe that I waited this long to change filters...assuming that these specific ones were hard to get - and now I'll be really P.O'd if all those little sky-spots suddenly disappear (actually I'd be thrilled!).

Just bought two 5 micron string wound types at Menard's store here in North Dakota. It is a lumber/flooring/appliance/paint/all kinds of stuff like a Home Depot/Lowe's.
