I agree tuco - I'm liking the 60mm shots a lot! Maybe I need something between the 40 and 80...
Went down for my annual visit to Hogpen Gap, where a big rock wall along the Richard B. Russell Scenic Hwy is always iced up during the cold months. Shot my first roll of a big batch of Ilford Delta 100 I just bought after running out of Kodak T-Max 100. Sticking with Ilford after seeing the latest price increases from Team Yellow.

Back in the Hasselblad days, most often used focal length was 60mm (Zeiss Distagon 60mm f4). Second was 100mm (Zeiss Planar 100mm f3.5), third 150mm (Zeiss Sonnar 150mm f2.8). BTW, the 50mm f2.8 can be interesting in many ways when used at f2.8. BIG and heavy lens.

Quite similar to my experience with the Rollei, Bernice. The 60mm Schneider Curtagon, 90mm APO Macro and 150mm Tele-Xenar are all favorites. For wide I prefer the 40mm Super Angulon. I also have the 80mm f2 (!) Xenotar, big and heavy but perfect for low light concerts, inside of churches, etc.

Bridge at Tenney Park. 500C/M w. 40 mm lens, TriX, scanned from film. Those are not my footprints on the ice under the bridge. There was open water on the other side of the bridge. It was tempting though, I'll admit.

I’m thinking about all the empty chairs in the world, created by the pandemic; chairs at the dinner table, on the front porch, out in the yard - empty because a parent, or grandparent died of COVID. Empty chairs where a sibling used to sit - a husband, a wife, a fiancé, a child - lost to this plague.
Photographed on Ilford Delta 400, rated at 160nASA and processed in Pyrocat HD.
The Hasselblad needed some exercise, so that’s what I used. Exposure: 1/30th at f5.6

Paul: Your empty chair really holds my eye. Very nice.
Here's a break from my ice and snow stuff, a chance to work indoors at Engelhart Motorsports. A 1951 Indian Chief Roadmaster. An earlier poster featured some classic hood ornaments, which triggered a reaction when I saw this bike. 80mm lens, TriX yellow filter, four small battery flashes.
