Creo, emulsion orientation
I am scanning on a creo iqsmart3 and was wondering what the orientation of the film should be.
Should I have the emulsion side facing down (ie... the notch on the top left) or facing up (ie... notch on the top right)?
Also, what is the opinion on the built in sharpening? Should I have the default setting, or should I select 'none'
Thanks,
Michael
Re: Creo, emulsion orientation
Wrong forum, but you can tell which direction to place the film on any flatbed scanner, by observing where the light source is. The light source normally shines thru the base side of the film being scanned. The emulsion side of the film faces the scanner lens and mirror assemblies.

I realized this was the wrong forum after I posted...
The creo has a light source on top, but all of the lenses are beneath. I believe the emulsion should be facing down, right?
